35th Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program ( 21 Oct - 11 Dec 08 )

A lot friend asked me on why i wasnt around in malaysia so long .. i have been in 52 days cruise program which initiated by Govt of Japan with collaboration Govt of Southeast Asean countries .. we have been as family for 52 days .. Youth who are choosen to represent 11 Asean countries will spend their life in Nippon Maru ship (i missed her so much) .. she is hospitalized now .. back to my story ... during this program ... we staying together , sleep together and evrything we doing together regardsless from where we are .. its a great moment to represent Malaysia in Asia Arena .. We have a lot of activities that we have done during cruise program e.g discussion (mine VA grp with Apiz , wan muneq and Awin d long mermaid .. missed u like crazy guys!!!!) , culture performances , solidatory group ( mine SG K ) , homestay (interesting!!!!! ... i have 6 host parent s ) , courtesy calls , institutional visits , flag hoisting @ 7am and etc .... During program , Nippon Maru has embarked at 6 Southeast Asian Countries .. Yokohama , Brunei , Indonesia , Thai , Vietnam & Philippines ..

Finally i felt how bad seasick is .. wow .. the entire body shacking , vomitted like crazy and you never can walk straight ... hahahaha .. its valuable & memorable experience for me .... during cruise days i always spend my time with Awin & Wan Muneq at top deck of Nippon Maru .. we are not often chit chatting but we just listening to the awin's mp3 which played hindustan song .. and waiting for sun set ... wahhhh .. great time huh .... u can see sunset from different countries everyday ..



I learnt a lof things from this program ... about friendship , people true colours , politics and the only one i always remember ... we are independent in this program .. ok guys .. hard to tell everything but if you got chance to go same as what i had .... please do not hesitate to accept the offer .. oppurtunity doesnt come twice in our life ...

Pre Depature Training (PDT) .......

i am shock when i got to know from my parent tht they received a letter from Ministry Youth & Sports .... i cant afford to wait .... i went home early on tht day just bcoz i want to know d content of the letter ... dub dab dub dab .. haha ... after selection camp ... we din heard any news pertaining to whom has been choosen to be PY( Participating Youth) for 35th The Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program 2008 (SSEAYP 2008) ....and the most happier things in mylife .. i am going this program with my besfriend .. which i know him for 19 yrs ... he is wandy ...

The moment i open the letter .. seems like i cant believed tht i have choosen to be 2008 Malaysian PY ... OMG ... i tot i dreaming .... but its TRUE ... out of 130++ ppts .. only 28 choosen to be PY to represent Malaysia ....

PDT 1 was held in Mandarin Court Hotel ( awin tot Mandarin Oriental KL .. haha ) and we got to know whos gonna be our bros & sis for 52 cruise days ... 22 ppts from selection camp , 2 unknown ( they din attend selection camp) , 4 ministry officer ( fitri , hafiz , ina , wan muneq) ..

Our exPy came to give information and share their sseayp life as well ... not much knowledge we gained .. just like listened as we did during schooling days ... hahahha ... segment by segment .... and there was a bit fight fighting was happen while bro eddy ( ex Py aka photographer - we din know him actually) ... try to put us in line ... he like to shouting and show off his power as exPY .. hahha ... then .. jeng jeng jeng ... Fairuz seems like not happy with him .. and shouting back to him ... and our day 2 of PDT ended in not hepi ending .... becoz of tht incident ... actually bro eddy try to to his job but he has communication error and using harsh approch ... nasib lu la bro ....

Photoshoot time ... i can see eddy is not hepi with us (mapy08) but he still continuing his job as our so call official photographer ( we have no choice actually ... just take wht ever in front of our eyes ) .. shoot by shoot ... and finally our photo session over on time ... before lunch time ..

before we dismissed ... we have another session with ministry youth & sport .. with miss aida ( my senior when i was in UiTM Melaka - she look beautiful & georgeous now) & En Mod Nadzri ... its Election Time for mapy08 exco & comittee .... mapy 08 voted ... Fairuz (YL) , Delia (AYL) , MP ( Treasure ) , Pavaani ( Secretary ) , Kay ( Discussion Head ) , myself (Culture Head) , Awin (CA Head) , Soma (SG Head) & Ganesh (Exhibition Head) ....... i am shock man ... they voted me as culture head ???? .. i heard from somebody they choose me bcoz they have seen my talent when we was in selection camp ..... aiyak ... but i like it .. coz i like dance .. being choosen as Culture Head not easy as you can see / think ... my duty will be not finish until d last port of calls (philippines) ...

Ouh Selection Camp ........

It has a month 35th SSEAYP program over .. for those who din know what is sseayp ... sseayp is The Ship For Southeast Asian Youth Program ... program yg menghimpunkan Belia terbaik Asia (11 negara kesemuanya ) di dlm satu program pelayan ... yg nama melayu nya .. Kapal Belia Asia Tenggara ... pelayaran yg bermula dr Tokyo , Japan ker negara2 ASEAN terpilih utk program pelayaran 2008 .... tanpa berlegah lagi .... kisah ni tak kan lengkap tanpa cerita selection camp ... cerita bagaimana terpilih 28 Malaysia terpilih utk mewakili Malaysia dia arena Asia ....

All stories started from selection camp which i am being choosen to attend selection camp for International Youth Exchange program .. wahhh .. berdebar2 aku ... i'll representing Selangor Youth Association KLang district ... fyi ... at tht time .. aku baru je 6 bulan bsama Majlis Belia ni .. hati berbunga 2 .. ye la .. mber2 lain yg dh lama dlm persatuan ni .. x dpt gak g selection camp ..

urm ... masa aku dpt tawaran tu kan ... aku pun bg tau la seseorg ( yg semakin rapat ngan aku skrg ) ... wahh .. dia bg aku morale support utk g camp nih ... aku sbnrnya tak pernah terpikir akan dpt g kem ni ... apatah lagi SSEAYP .. from rumors they said .. PY age max is 25 .. masa tu aku dh 27 .. perghhh .. dah tertutup sume angan2 ku ... cuma berharap dlm hati ni bole g program lain ... hehe

A lot of things we are being tested e.g .. Public speaking , talent , knowledge and etc ... aku pun mcuba sedaya upaya ... masa ni la aku mengenali yasmin ( masa tu org paggil dia warden tau ) , Kay ( si MC yg jd buruan ) , Ifa ( tokey perfume ) , Syaza ( teman menari ku ) , zarida ( almost sama nama ngan aku ... satu group lak tuh ) , Delia ( dia mcm cikgu2 ) , fairuz , amir , Lan ( masa ni populariti lan suam2 kuku ) , ganesh ( dia ni cam cikgu senam daaaa ) , v pun ade gak masa ni .... dia la org pertama yg aku kenal dlm kem ni .. sgt simple budak nye ...

walaupun aku mengenali derang2 nih .. tapi yg paling popular masa ni Guna ... dia ni mmg mpunyai hasrat yg tinggi nk jadik PY .... tp sian dia tak terpilih lak ..... kalo la guna terpilih .. menjadi igauan ngeri untuk dak2 mapy08 .. lega seehh die tak terpilih ... kalo d rewindkan .. rupenya selection camp ni sama je acuan nye ... every yr will be d same .. tugasan , schedule , as usual kalo dah program2 sebegini sume tugasan di berikan sgt2 d last min .. ape yg ade dlm kepala pakat buat jer ... asalkan pegawai yg nk memilih tu nmpk kite owg nih ... yg penting expose lebih beb .... bab2 expose ni dun worry la ... masa kem ni abis la aku tunjuk sume bakat yg aku ade ... nasib baik aku bole menari jer .... kalo la aku pandai nyanyi ... itu pun aku tonjolkan ..... haiihhhh .... asyik guna je menonjol .. aku pun nak gak .... tp in d professional way la ... huhu

I've tried at my level best ... haha .. ye la .. kt mind set ni dh kata yg aku tak tak dapat sbb aku dh agak senior utk program nih ... dan aku pun tak tahu objective utama selection camp ni utk cari PY for SSEAYP 08 ... sume bende la aku cuba menonjol ... menari ke .. speaking ker .. debate ker ... discussion ker ... nasib baik derang tak suruh aku berpantun .. kalo tak ... waaahhh .. cam ne lak tu .. aku mmg xde bakat berpantun .... bg aku itu sume sgt kelakar la ... tapi aku puas ngan ape yg aku dh usaha kan .. dan yg paling best .. dapat tgk mcm2 ragam org yg berusaha utk menonjolkan diri .. walau apepun memori guna yg paling superb yg akan di ingati oleh sume org yg g kem ni ..... bile cite psl selection camp jer ... nama guna tak tlepas dr sesi ngumpatan ....

masa ni jumpe ramai gak exPY .... k mas ( masa ni aku ingat dia garang .. rupenya baik kakak ni ... byk bg nasihat) , k jan ( simple & sporting org nye ) , nanai (kengkawan .. die la yg dok melepak kat tong air beso tuh ... yg kite dpt assignment .. singing in bubling style .... terasa amat budus masa tuh .. tp kelakar seeehhh .. gerenti gelak kalo ingat) , man ketupat ( aku ingat dia cina tau sbb muka dia cam cina .. assignment kite owg kat stesen die .. kene nyanyi lagu patriotik .. adus .. terkangkang kiat group aku carik wording & lagu nye sekali ... ade team member aku tepon adik die .. suruh nyanyi lagu tuh ....) , and etc .. tp masa tu pdod tak de lak ... maybe dia busy masa tuh ... ramai gile penilai kite owg .. serasa mcm dlm realiti TV show lak ... ye la kite owg sentiasa kene pakai nombor .... hmy lucky no 123 ... kalo no plat kete ni .... sgt mahal ooooo .....hehe .....

kem ni berakhir pada 20 April 08 ... aku mbawa sume kenangan dan gmbr ... haha ... lepas lunch kite owg sume pun berangkat balik ke tempat masing2 .. huhu ...

Kat kem ni aku agak rapat ngan syaza .. maybe sbb aku dan dia ade kesukaan yg sama ... menari ... aku suka sgt dpt kenal dia .. dpt la blaja zapin skit2 .. aku tak habis blaja zapin dulu ... cikgu tak mati tapi cikgu aku dah grad awal dr aku masa kat UiTm dulu .... thanks syaza ....
